Lieff Cabraser represents certain funds and accounts of institutional investor BlackRock in an individual action against Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. and certain of Valeant’s senior officers and directors for violations of the Securities Act of 1933 and/or the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 arising from Defendants’ scheme to generate revenues through massive price increases for Valeant-branded drugs while concealing from investors the truth regarding the Company’s business operations, financial results, and other material facts. In September 2018, the court denied defendants’ partial motions to dismiss, and BlackRock plaintiffs filed an amended complaint. The parties are currently engaged in discovery.
