Sean “P Diddy” Combs Sexual Assault Investigation
Sean John Combs, also known by his stage name Diddy, formerly Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, is an American music artist, record producer and record executive. A three-time Grammy Award winner, he is credited with the discovery and development of musical artists including the Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher. However, in March 2024, Federal authorities raided Combs’ homes in search of evidence relating to multiple allegations of abuse and sexual abuse brought by numerous alleged victims of crimes dating back as far as 30 years ago.
Combs was arrested in September 2024. In October, months after the federal raids, Combs was charged with federal racketing and sex trafficking, among other serious and disturbing offenses. A May 5, 2025 trial date was set for Diddy to face the wide and pervasive array of charges, charges that number in triple digits.
Prosecutors laid out the case against Combs in a grand jury indictment, whereunder he is accused of using his music empire to engage in sex trafficking and is further accused of having a pattern of abusing women.
The indictment says Combs often lured victims by promising a romantic relationship before using threats, intimidation and abuse to get them to engage in various sexual activities. Those included so-called “Freak Offs” where victims were directed to engage in extended sex acts with male sex workers on film.
Prosecutors allege Combs drugged victims during those sessions and sometimes kept the footage without the victim being aware he was doing so. They also say the physical exertion was such that Combs and victims often required IV fluids afterward.
