American Legal Media/Law.com have announced their 2023 Southeastern Legal Awards honorees, and we are pleased to report that Lieff Cabraser partners Mark Chalos and Andrew Kaufman have received well-deserved recognition.
Mark was honored as a Distinguished Leader, reflecting his exceptional management, guidance, and organizational skills within the legal field, and Andrew was named as a lawyer “On the Rise,” highlighting his meteoric success and achievements throughout his casework and appellate advocacy.
All the recognized attorneys will be celebrated at a gala event on June 22 at Flourish Atlanta, and ALM will publish a special section further highlighting all the chosen outstanding lawyers and their important accomplishments.

About Mark P. Chalos
The Managing Partner of Lieff Cabraser’s Nashville office, Mark P. Chalos (twitter: @mpchalos) represents individuals who have suffered catastrophic personal injuries and families whose loved ones died due to the negligence or misconduct of others. In the national opioids litigation, Mark represents counties and cities across the U.S., as well as Native American Tribes and health benefit plans. About Andrew Kaufman
A partner in Lieff Cabraser’s Nashville office, Andrew Kaufman has represented plaintiffs in consumer protection, financial fraud, and product defect cases. His successes at the firm include representing Nashville General Hospital (the Hospital Authority of Metropolitan Government of Nashville) in a class-action antitrust case against Momenta Pharmaceuticals for monopolizing enoxaparin, the generic version of the blockbuster life-saving anti-coagulant Lovenox, which in 2019, settled for $120 million, the second largest indirect-purchaser antitrust pharmaceutical settlement fund in history, after Cipro.
In 2023, Andrew was included in the Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch List,” and he was also named a Lawdragon “500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyer” for 2023.
