Kelly Dermody will be moderating a panel today at the 2018 Impact Fund Class Action Conference at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco. The panel, entitled “Wedding Cakes, Military Service, & Bathrooms, Oh My!” will focus on defending against threats to the LGBT community: “From court decisions holding that Title VII prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation to the proposed ban on transgender soldiers serving in the military, it is a time of dramatic ups and downs. Our speakers are leading the fight for equal rights for the LGBT community, and will tell us where they have set their sights in 2018 and beyond.”
Panelists include Flor Bermudez of the Transgender Law Center, Elizabeth O. Gill of the ACLU LGBT & HIV Project, and Natalie Nardecchia of Lambda Legal. The Panel begins at 11:15 a.m.
