A Champion for the Environment, Consumers and Patients
Elizabeth is a partner in our Nashville office with a focus on significant environmental, consumer, and personal injury mass torts.
Elizabeth currently represents individuals, property owners, and business owners across the Gulf Coast in class action litigation against BP (formerly British Petroleum) and the other companies involved in drilling at the Deepwater Horizon oil rig. She is spearheading the firm's litigation against the Tennessee Valley Authority for a massive coal ash spill at TVA's Kingston, Tennessee Fossil Plant. The spill was one of the worst environmental disasters ever in the Southeast.
Elizabeth plays a leading role in the firm's litigation efforts to obtain justice for women who were injured after taking Yaz or Yasmin birth control pills. She has also represented workers and consumers who developed a lung disease called bronchiolitis obliterans, or chronic scarring of the airways, as a result of repeated exposure to diacetyl in manufacturing plants and microwave popcorn.
Elizabeth has been named by Super Lawyers magazine as a "Rising Star" in the Tennessee legal community, and she was recognized in Lawdragon magazine's 2006 "Lawdragon 500 New Stars" and in the 2007 "Lawdragon 3000 Leading Plaintiffs' Lawyers in America."
