A Skilled Lawyer for the Injured
An experienced and accomplished trial attorney based in our San Francisco office, Kent represents clients in a wide range of serious injury and wrongful death cases, primarily involving defective prescription drugs and medical devices.
Kent’s representation of a medical malpractice victim with life-altering injuries resulted in a seven-figure settlement with the defendant physicians and hospital in 2008. He obtained favorable, confidential settlements for consumers who used contact lens solution products from Advanced Medical Optics and Bausch & Lomb and suffered severe eye infections with some cases of permanent blindness as a result of using these defective products.
More recently, Kent and Lieff Cabraser served as Co-Liaison Counsel for patients nationwide injured by the Durom Cup hip implant manufactured by Zimmer Holdings. In 2011 and 2012, the patients represented by Lieff Cabraser settled their cases with Zimmer on confidential terms.
Today, Kent represents patients with claims against Medtronic, Inc. arising from serious injuries suffered as a result of dangerous off-label uses of a genetically-engineered bone protein, the Infuse® device. He is currently representing numerous women who have suffered from unusual femur fractures caused by their use of bisphosphonate drugs.
Kent is also advancing cases for patients with painful and debilitating injuries caused by the failures of their defective metal hip implants sold by Wright Medical Technology, Inc.
